MEEN Update:  A New Home, A New Technology-Enabled Focus and a Broader Reach

In 2005, the MEEN program transitioned to a permanent home as a program under CyberMichigan - this time, evolving and extending the original concept with a re-focus of its efforts around technology-enabled entrepreneurship education and training within the state of Michigan.

Additionally, MEEN has expanded its original audience of Michigan public universities to also include private universities and community colleges across the state.  Along these lines, MEEN's new programmatic goals include:

  • Facilitate collaboration among organizations that support entrepreneurship across the state of Michigan

  • Develop a shared strategic vision based on a common interest in educating and supporting prospective and practicing entrepreneurs within the state

  • Leverage information and communication technologies (ICTs) to enhance impact and effectiveness through resource pooling, sharing of best practices, co-creation of educational materials and wider dissemination of resources to Michigan educators and entrepreneurs
