CyberMichigan is committed to advancing educational technology in Michigan. Nation-wide research shows that technology, when properly employed, expands the educational horizons of our students and enhances the educational experiences of our teachers.

 

Bringing technology access, knowledge, skills, and IT learning tools to our classrooms is one of CyberMichigan’s key initiatives.

 

Improving Web Sites to Reach Persons of All Literacy Levels

CyberMichigan has created a set of guidelines and tools to help information providers learn how to develop all-literacy websites.

 

Parent and Teacher Communication: A Digital Gap?

Survey results reveal that one of the most effective tools of communication is not utilized for parent and teacher interaction.

 

Information Technology & Workforce Development

This brief explores the gap between the views of Michigan's employers and higher education administrators regarding the issue of IT worker shortages in the state.  From conversations in 2002-2003, CyberMichigan learned that executives anticipated needing fewer IT workers while universities were increasing their capacity to grant computer science degrees.

Educators and IT organizations are TEAMing up to combat the state’s “Digital Divide.”
