    January 19th. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.

    On January 19, 2004, Americans across the country will celebrate the national holiday honoring the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As they have since 1994, thousands of Americans remembered Dr. King by serving in their communities—by making the holiday "a day ON, not a day off." Please join all AmeriCorp members across the country in Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.

October 25 Make a Difference Day. Make A Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make A Difference Day is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.

November 19, Lansing, MI. The Fourth Annual AmeriCorp Celebration.

This will be a fun filled day of training, networking and recognition. Displays of AmeriCorps programs will be exhibited. Members who visit all the displays will be eligible for prizes. This year members and directors can attend two of the following workshops

  • Gathering Volunteers and Other Resources

  • Event Planning

  • Make sure your program is Inclusive

  • Public Speaking

  • Problem Kids or Problem Context
