As a non-partisan, cross-sector organization, CyberMichigan is fulfilling its mission by bringing together IT
innovators and visionaries in order to enhance the lives of every citizen throughout Michigan.

The CyberMichigan Board advises and provides counsel to the
Governor and state's Chief Information Officer regarding the long-term direction
that will enable Michigan to implement the best information technology
management and service practices, serving and supporting citizens and other
customers, as well as critical state functions.

April 2004, CyberMichigan commissioned a survey of

residents to explore the role that information technology plays in their lives.

CyberMichigan has launched a service to help local government officials

information technology (IT) in Michigan.

Workshops: Connecting Citizens to Online Local
Government
CyberMichigan has hosted technology workshops for Michigan's local governments
in Grand Rapids, Livonia, and across the Upper Peninsula.
AmeriCorps:
Technology Education and Access for Michigan
Working with community based organizations in eight regions, CyberMichigan is sponsoring service
members to build information technology awareness and teach computer and Internet skills especially
to under-served people.

Information Technology Advisory Group (MITAG):
Statewide
coalition formed to help guide the State of Michigan in
the development and implementation of its information technology strategy. MITAG is is the only cross-sector analysis and advocacy group focused on
Michigan's information technology
strategy.
