Janice M. Whitehouse serves as President of CyberMichigan after more than 30 years with the General Motors Corporation.

During her tenure at General Motors Ms. Whitehouse, a recognized leader in multi-stakeholder coalition efforts, served as Director of Community Health Care Initiatives where she led strategy and team efforts in five communities and three states, and was responsible for improving health care quality and efficiency through a collaborative process with labor partners, employers and the health care delivery system.

Ms. Whitehouse, as Director of Health Care Initiatives for General Motors, successfully established a joint GM / UAW/ IUE community initiative effort to address health care quality cost and led a community-wide action planning process resulting in twelve workgroups that addressed various facets of health care from diabetes and cancer to racial disparities. In her capacity as Manager of the National Managed Pharmacy Program, Ms. Whitehouse managed all aspects of a pharmacy program for 1.3 million lives in self-insured health plans and negotiated a groundbreaking contract covering $700 million in prescription drug spending that delivered over $30 million in annual savings.

Ms. Whitehouse serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Detroit Area Health Council, MPRO – Michigan’s Health Care Quality Improvement Organization, Hospice of Michigan, and is on the Advisory Committee of the University of Detroit Mercy College of Health Professions. She also serves on the Quality Management Committee of Christus Health in Houston, Texas. Ms. Whitehouse previously served as Vice Chair of the Michigan Health and Safety Coalition, Co-chair of the Partners Project (CDC/AHP immunization effort), and was on the Governing Council of the Michigan Antibiotic Resistance Reduction (MARR) Coalition.

Ms. Whitehouse holds an M.B.A, as well as a B.A. in English, from the University of Michigan.
