Patrick O'Hare is Senior Vice President and
Chief Information Officer for Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. In this role, he
facilitated the development and implementation of the first information system plan that transformed
the diverse Spectrum Health organization - hospitals, health plan, home health, and long-term care facilities and programs -
into a unified system through state-of-the-art technology.
Prior to joining Spectrum Health, Mr. O’Hare spent 12 years at Trinity Health. As the Vice
President of Information and Technology Management, Michigan, he was responsible for the development of strategic
and tactical information systems plans that maximized quality, minimized costs and supported best
practices. In addition, O’Hare has worked as the Director of Information Systems at the Battle Creek Health System and as
a Systems Analyst for St. Lawrence Hospital.
He has a masters of business administration degree from Western Michigan University and a
bachelor of science degree in computer information systems and accounting from Ferris State University.
Mr. O'Hare is a member of several professional organizations including:
the Health Information & Management Systems Society, the College of Healthcare
Information Management Executives and the Grand Rapids Lions Club. He is a Board Member and Chair of the Finance
Committee for Leadership Grand Rapids; and a Board Member of the Hospice of Michigan, West Michigan Regional Board.
